About Harr Motors

In 1968, Jim Harr started his first dealership with the Saab Franchise in Aberdeen, South Dakota on the same property where his father had operated a service station since the late 1940s, when he returned from military service in WWII. The business was called Saab Imports of Aberdeen. In 1968, he acquired the Toyota franchise and the name of the business was changed to Southside Imports.

In 1978, Jim added the Honda franchise to the dealership and the business was then renamed Southside Toyota-Honda. In 1982, the business moved from South Main Street to Sixth Ave. SW and was renamed Harr Motors. In 1990, Harr Motors purchased the Nissan franchise. On March 17, 2008, the dealership relocated to a new state-of-the-art facility on Sixth Avenue Southeast, directly across from the Aberdeen Regional Airport.

Harr Motors is the only Toyota-Scion, Honda and Nissan dealership in the Nation. A full service dealership that has been awarded several prestigious honors in its in service, parts, and sales departments, Harr Motors continues to serve its customers and the community by delivering exemplary customer service and the most innovative products in the industry.
